Hello from Georgia! We made it here safe and sound. We had a few issues getting here but we made it, which is the most important. We said our goodbye's to dad and we were off...sort of. We started off with a delayed flight. Seriously...it wasn't snowing, raining or foggy and out of all the flights, the one we take is delayed. The boy didn't mind, but since I have been losing sleep about this flight for the past few weeks, I was just so ready to get here. For some reason the computer systems were down for the Delta flight so they never even posted what time the flight was leaving! So basically, to be on the safe side, the people working told us to check in security around 5:00, so that is what we did and sure enough we were almost late! Oh man it was a rush for us but we made it on! Then once we got on the plane, we had to sit there for 23 minutes! After all my panicing that Jase would not like the plane and freak out, he ended up doing great! He is such a buddy. Everyone around us couldn't belive how well he did. I am not the biggest fan of flying so really he probably handled it better then me!
Once we made it, we missed the first train to the luggage. Yep sure did! Atlanta airport couldn't be more helpful with HUGE signs in front of you telling you where to go, but we missed it. Apparently I need someone holding my hand and pointing me in the right direction! We just had to walk a bit then we made it to the baggage claim.
Aunt Erin was waiting at the top of the escalator for us! She grabbed Jase and hugged and kissed him. She hasn't seen him since March so it has been a while! She loves him so much.
On Saturday we went to the the park. Of course Jase loved it! Erin has a lot of fun parks around where she lives, and they are huge.
Erin took Jase down a slide as you can see. They both had quite the experience. It is very very hot and humid here and your legs really stick to the playground equipment. Instead of sliding all the way down, Erin's leg got stuck and they both just kind of stopped in the middle of the slide. Once she boosted them to get going they flew down the slide! Their faces were priceless. Jase didn't really know what to think. You probably had to be here to appreciate it, but it was hilarious.
After the park we went to the outlet mall. Very nice for mama!
For dinner I was craving Mexican...weird. We went to this little mexican restaurant that was very good. Jase of course had the usual mexican favorite of his, quesadillas.
He decided to give Aunt Erin some too!
Today we have had a busy day. We did some grovery shopping and went to see where Aunt Erin works. We got to play in the big gym and go swimming...which is something Jase loves to do!
We are having so much fun :) Tomorrow we are going to the Zoo and the Centenial Olympic Park. We will ALL love it.
Jase is getting used to the time change and the fact that the girl isn't here to eat all the food he drops on the ground. Although he does look for her and call her name! He has also been saying "da da" and points to the phone when I am talking to Jeff. It is so cute and so amazing that he knows who I am talking to.
I will try to keep blogging anytime I can. Grandpa J just needs to be patient with me :) Just kidding dad, I know you are excited for us!
Until next time...See ya'll later :)
Tired little traveler!
