We celebrated our little guys 3rd birthday with who else but Curious George in mind. We had all sorts of "George" foods and the boy got enough presents for the year. Tyce picked the George theme of course and I was not shocked at all that Curious George was the choice. I was absolutely in shock when every time you asked Tycer what he wanted for his birthday, he responded with "just balloons and cake." The little man is not hard to please at all. A little different than his older brother :). The sad part is, when the day came I I was preparing for "George" everything, I forgot the balloons. It makes me just sit back and realize that it is the little things that really matter. Thank goodness my parents were able to run to the store for me and get some. I tried my best to make his 3rd birthday everything he wanted. I think by the end of the day he was zonked out and ready for bed.
He chose a birthday cake made of m&m's and kit-kat bandy bars so he was on a bit of a sugar high for a couple hours! The cake consisted of cake mix, frosting and candy bars so you can only imagine how hyped up the kiddos were!
As you can see. We had "The man in the Yellow hat" cups and plates, bananas galore, Banana split bar, jumpy squirrel acorns made out of nutter butter minis and Hershey kisses, gummy worms for worm race, mixed nuts for jumpy squirrel, pin wheel sandwiches for the races and of course Chef Basghetti's famous Spaghetti for dinner along with his fresh garden (salad) and bread. It was so fun and pretty cute!!
I think Tyce thought he was pretty special. He got enough gifts to last forever. It is hard to find gifts for kiddos when you think they already have everything in the toy store already. His final gift was a big train set from Jeff and myself. It is something we thought he could keep in his rook and play with when HE wants to. Sometimes it gets a little crazy when certain gifts are for just one of the boys. Since Jase is the oldest (and can be bossy) he thinks all the toys are for him. Tyce is such a good boy with sharing so he is always willing to give anything up for Jase. It is pretty sweet but sad at the same time:).
Of course little Miss Mae had to be involved in all of the unwrapping of gifts. She was quite the COA!
Tyce is very fortunate that he has so many people in his life that love him so much. He had all of his family members over including his best friend Reese and her parents ( who are good friends of ours). It was a great day and I hope we were able to make the little man feel special on his special day. We love you Tycer. Happy 3rd birthday!
