Happy 4th birthday Jase Jackson

I seriously have no idea where time has gone. I can't believe you, Mr. Jase is 4 already! You have definitely changed through the years little man.  The biggest change you have gone through over the past year was that you started preschool.  You started at the preschool in Grinnell (which you loved) and have been able to transition well to your new preschool after we moved to Indianola.  You have learned so much about yourself and others just by being with your friends and teachers at school.  Everyday you ask me "mom, do we have school today or are we going tomorrow?" I love it because I know you love going!

I would have to say one of the biggest things your dad, myself and everyone that knows you say you are so sweet and have such a big heart!  You are always so concerned about others and how they feel.  It is almost like when someone else is sad, you get sad too.  You are always trying to please us and you don't have to worry about that little man because you always do...well most of the time.  You are so pleasant to have around and you are such a big helper to me with your brother and Ady.  Another thing people notice is that you still like to take your time and as we like to say move at "Jase pace."  You just don't like to rush things or be rushed.  You like to do things at your own speed.

You have a few favorite things you love to do right now.  You still love to be outside.  We are waiting on your new swing set to be installed in the next few days so you don't need to keep asking me about that. Also, riding your gator or your brother's tractor is a highlight when we can get outside.  You have become quite the techie this winter too.  Finding things for you boys to do every single day this winter has been a struggle for me so I started researching different iPad games and leapfrog games for you and you have loved playing those.  At times you are showing your dad and I how to do things on the iPad.  Not sure how you figure things out, but you sure are smart!

You still have a somewhat love for Mr. Curious George, but that has been transitioned down to your bro.  You love the Disney channel and a couple favorite shows you like are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins and the Octonauts.  You also love Disney movies of every kind.  You are so ready to go to Disney for the first time.  Don't worry buddy...that trip is in the planning stage!!  Just give us a little time!!

You are an amazing big brother, and you are a great example for Tyce.  He tries so hard to be just like you.  It is so sweet to see the two of you bond.  You are so close in age that you are able to play the same things and enjoy each other as best friends.  Don't worry though, you fight like brothers!!

We had your 4 year check up today and the doctor said you are tall, tall, tall.  You weigh 46lbs 10oz and you are 42.8 inches tall.  You know that means you can ride the roller coasters and ride the big water slides this year at one of your favorite places, Adventureland.  You are in great health and that is all we like to hear!

I still can't believe the day has come when you turned 4.  It seems like you were just a baby not that long ago.  You are growing up and your dad and I just have to accept that.  We love you more than words can say.  Thank you for bringing so much happiness to everyone you are around.  You are such an amazing little boy, I can only imagine what exciting things you are going to bring to the table in years to come.
