Our Little Miss is 3!

Hayden turned 3 on Easter this year.  I don't know how she got so old, so fast.  She is our one of kind, go getter girl!  Everything about her is girly.  Dolls, purses, clothes, hair, etc., but she is just like her brothers.  She can hold her own with them and has a way to be their boss.  The boys absolutely adore her but if she pushes them to their limits they will break! She is one tough little miss!

It was a special weekend because we spent Saturday at an indoor water park at a hotel in Des Moines with our good friends, and then having Easter on her birthday was nice because everyone was able to help celebrate her birthday.  Hayden really enjoyed her birthday "weekend"  because she asks to go back to the water park all the time.  I am not going to lie, it was fun for the adults too.  On Sunday we had everyone over, for her actual birthday party.  Walking Tacos was the dinner of choice by Hayden and Jase (we combined his family bday party with Hayden's party) so we didn't exactly have the traditional Ham and potatoes Easter dinner but it was still great.  She got so many wonderful gifts.  She even got a new bike that she rode around the house forever.

Hayden has grown so much in just a year.  I never thought she would talk, go on the potty or listen to her mommy and daddy.  Well at least she does the first two!!  She tends to do what she wants and's doesn't really care what the consequences are:)  She always thinks she is right and she loves to say "no it's not."  when you say to her "Hayden if you do that, this will happen." "No it won't mom." so like I said, she is always right.  Now, talk about a daddy's girl.  Hayden loves her dad and he loves her dearly.  Maybe that is where she gets the idea that she is never wrong.  It is so sweet to watch them together.  Jeff absolutely adores her.  She asks for him throughout the day and can't wait for him to get home from work.  Hayden also adores Ady, our pug.  She is constantly giving her treats and will wait for her to come down the stairs some mornings so she can walk with her.  She loooooves walking Ady too.  Hayden still loves tumbling as much as she did the first time she did it.  She knows it is on Wednesdays at 6 and she counts the days down until it is Wednesday.  She does a pretty good job too.  She will be in the next class in the fall, and she is taking tumbling camps in the summer.  Hayden is also starting 3 day preschool in the fall.  This momma will be a mess!  Being she is the last little one we have, and she is headed off to school turns my stomach.  I just know how fast the time does go:(  Like I always say, some of the days can't get over soon enough but the years need to slow down.  When I look back at the day she was born, it doesn't seem that long ago.  Hayden is more than ready for preschool.  She picks up so much from the boys, it is amazing to see how much she really does know!  I just hope this mom can hold it together when it comes time to take her to school.  I already have anxious feelings about it.  Hayden brings nothing but joy to our lives.  Her spunky attitude keeps us always wondering what she will next.  She has such a great outlook on life and keeps it interesting.  We love to watch her pretend play, especially when she doesn't know anyone is watching.  We couldn't ask for a better girl to keep us smiling every single day!

Dearest little Miss,

You are three years old!  How did you get so old so fast.  I remember when we found out we were having you (a girl) and couldn't wait to see how a little girl would change my life.  You make us smile especially when we look at you.  I love listening to you talk and tell your stories about your babies and what you have planned for the day with them.  You definitely can hold your own with your brothers and they know not to mess with you!  We hope you continue your journey through this crazy life with that smile on your face and your head held high.  We appreciate you so very much and we can't wait what you have in store for us in the years to come.

Love,
Mom and Dad
