On Thursday we had Ragbrai come through Grinnell and we were sponsoring 17 people! They all stayed at our house. They were here to shower, sleep and just be in the air conditioning. It was a fun experience and we had a good time with them. They were a great group to sponsor. Jeff thought he could keep up with the younger group during the evening activities, but the next morning sure showed him this was not possible!! Lets just say he didn't feel the best!
Don't worry the boys were not here. The girl was quite a hit though.
We were also able to enjoy some time with some friends that we hadn't seen in a long time. Way too long! We headed back to Des Moines and met up with Derc and Steph and their boy Kale! His such a stud. The kids were able to play with some water activities during the day and the adults were able to enjoy some horse races at the casino and a few drinks that evening!! It was nice and the kids really enjoyed themselves as well. They were able to see all the grandparents and get spoiled to death :)
We were all tired when we got back home yesterday. For some reason Tyce doesn't sleep well unless we are at home. This make it hard for any of us to get sleep. We headed back fairly early and did some outside things with the kids. Everything we do outside is with water since it is way too hot out! But of course Jase loves it! Tyce does too. He is able to stand up now while holding on to something so he thinks he can do EVERYTHING his brother can! It is cute. They are buds :)
