A mind of his own

We have really adjusted well to having a house full of boys. Jase is adjusting great to being a big brother and Jeff and I are starting to really figure out our new little man. What can we say though, Tyce really has a mind of his own!! He definitely does what he wants, eats when he wants, sleeps when he wants and has really been able to show his true colors!! He is doing great with holding his head up and it is odd but he tries to walk. He is not even 2 months old yet but if you hold onto his hands and let him stand up he will stand on his own and take "steps." This is COMPLETELY opposite then his brother. We couldn't get Jase to even take one step on his own until he was 16 months! Not that Tyce is walking or anything but I think he is starting to show/tell us that he will not waste anytime. He is ready to keep up with his big brother!

Tyce is starting to spread out his feedings a bit more too...which is great for me! He will eat about every 4-5 hours now and will easily go 5 hours at night! He is still sleeping on my chest but each night I try to lay him down in his bed even if it is for a short period of time, so he is doing much better with that. He is such a happy baby too. He is constantly smiling and kicking his legs. We have a new bouncy seat that Grandma and Grandpa Bates gave us and he absolutely loves it! He sits in it and laughs and kicks his legs constantly. He is such a busy boy.

Jase is really doing well with having a new person in the house. We are still keeping busy by going to the library, having play dates with our friends Michelle and Regan and we now have gymnastics once a week too. He Loooooves gymnastics. Even though the winter weather can give everyone some cabin fever...we try to get out and do some things. It makes it nice for all of us and allows Jase to be around other kids too.

Jeff and I finally got a night out! It was so nice. Last weekend we decided to drop the boys off at Grandma and Grandpa Bates' house and we went to the mall and to dinner. One of our favorite places to eat/drink is Granite City so we spent a few hours there. It was so nice to have a conversation with Jeff and not be interrupted by something. We knew we needed to get out and do something and I am so glad we did! We might even get another date night on Friday too. My parents will be coming up so my mom and I can do some shopping and they will watch the boys for us! It is so nice to have family around. They help us out so much!

Like I said...mind of his own!
