Over the Labor Day weekend, my mom, sister and I packed up the boys and headed to Minneapolis to the Mall of America. Kind of a get a way for us ladies but there were definitely plenty of things for the boys to do as well. We headed out on Saturday morning and were able to do some shopping when we arrived.
Jase was in love with the escalators. For some reason he thought they were the neatest things since Curious George! He was able to ride up and down and up and down for most of the time spent at the mall. He could have cared less about the amusement park at the mall, which was a good thing since he was a few inches too short to ride a lot of the rides. All he wanted was the escalators. A few times my sister, Tyce and I would be walking and we would look over, keep in mind how big the Mall of America is, and we would see my mom and Jase riding up to the 4th floor on the escalator. He is such a funny little man. It was worth the excitement on his face, right mom?!?! I hope you enjoyed it as much as Jase!!! We were able to enjoy Rainforest Cafe' (which I can say Tyce was not a huge fan of the loud noise and the animal sounds) and Build-a-Bear too. Jase named his bear George of course and he sleeps with him every night.
Our hotel was right beside the Minneapolis airport so of course Jase looooved that. He was able to see planes landing and taking off. I don't think he realized how big planes really were until we could see them up close. He was a little frightened at first but he got over that quickly and proceeded to tell us EVERY TIME a plane was coming in to land or take off. We also had a pool in the hotel, which we all know how much Jase loves the water so of course some of the time was spent swimming. The pool was kind of small so when there were other children in it, it was hard for Jase to play as well.
Overall it was a good time for us and it was nice to get away with my mom and my sister. Erin has been studying so much so she needed a break from everything too.
