Let the Christmas Season begin!

For starters...Erin is officially in to PA school!! Where do you ask?!?!? Oh, IOWA! She will start PA school in June at Des Moines University! Seriously...she hasn't been back here since she graduated high school! We were all very excited today!! Congrats Aunt Erin. You have worked so hard and fully deserve it. We are so glad to FINALLY have you around and we can't wait to see you again soon.

Today we had quite the festive day. We love Christmas in our house. Everything about it is wonderful! We love to see our family and friends, put up the Christmas tree...even if we have a little man that likes to pull all the ornaments off, hang up Christmas lights, the music and movies. Just the feelings I/we get when the people we love are around!
We were able to go to a Christmas tree farm today and pick out our tree. Jeff was able to cut it down for us. It seems as though it looked much smaller at the farm then it does in our house ;) so for the next few weeks we have a gigantic tree that takes up most of our living room. No worries though, it isn't like we have much going on the next few weeks...
The farm was very neat and Jase got to ride in the wagon around. At the end he was able feed reindeer. We think he really enjoyed it since he didn't make it but 10 minutes in the car on the way home before he was passed out.
This evening we took a visit to see Santa. He was uptown Grinnell so we thought we would see what the man thought of Santa this year. He actually didn't freak out and cry like we thought he would. He also didn't seem too pleased to sit on Santa's lap either. I think it just all happened so fast he didn't really have time to think about it. Jeff took him up to his lap, sat him down, and took off so we could maybe get at least one good picture! The man had quite an eventful day and he barely napped. He is still awake actually, and he usually has been asleep for an hour by now :). Hopefully he wants to settle down soon or his mom and dad are going to fall asleep before he does!

Off they go to find a tree!

Coloring is always nice after a stressful day finding a tree!

Feeding the reindeer.
This one was the "boss" of them all since it was the only one with antlers. When this reindeer came around all the other reindeer scattered.

Didn't quite make it home without napping! At least we had a snack in our lap though!!

The tree that kind of fits!

Ending our day to see the famous St. Nick and his wife.
Not so happy...but at least we aren't crying ;)
